On Tuesday, March 10th, P. Agnes was awarded the AGC in the Community Award for our charitable efforts and contributions during the construction of the Ronald McDonald House Chestnut Street Expansion Project.
As the first Ronald McDonald House in the country, this facility has served as a space for severely ill children to receive treatment with the comfort of their families nearby for over 45 years. At the outset of the project, the Philadelphia house only had the capacity to support one out of every five families in need. When they set out to add a 93,000 square foot tower to include 88 new bedroom spaces, P. Agnes, as construction manager, donated over one hundred hours of free or discounted preconstruction services and worked to galvanize the local construction industry into donating hundreds of thousands of dollars in labor and materials.
In addition to this award, this project received the GBCA Construction Excellence Award for Best Hospitality Project in 2019. P. Agnes CEO Pat Pasquariello III was also recognized for his efforts on this project, being awarded the Jimmy Murray Community Leadership Award in 2018. The completed project will allow Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House to serve an additional 1,110 families. EwingCole was the architect on the project.
