P. Agnes has completed construction of a multi-phased project at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This $33,000,000 construction project included a new entrance for the hospital’s Emergency Department, an expansion of the hospital’s ambulatory care building, a 24 bed ICU, and a parking lot for ambulance parking on the backside of the existing hospital.
Designed by Array Architects of Dallas, Texas, the AMBI expansion involved constructing an infill addition over the existing ambulance entrance and parking bays as well as renovations to the existing space. The new Emergency Department entrance involved an extensive grade change for the ambulance entrance and parking lot as well as a concrete stairwell with retaining walls to accommodate the new entrance. This comprehensive expansion project for the flagship hospital for the RWJBarnabasHealth system includes a new trauma elevator and electrical substation, a new Intensive Care Unit, and various renovations to adjacent and ancillary spaces.
